Saturday and Sunday by Appointment

Stop by and visit our new exhibit at 212 South Center Street in downtown Statesville. Some may remember the building as the home of Raylass Department Store, 1937-1970. More recently it housed the Army Navy Store.

Visitors can view over 1,000 photographs from the collection archives, mostly of the downtown from the early 1900s through the 1960s. Also, a group of photos and memorabilia entitled, Hometown Heroes: The History of the Statesville Police Department will be on display through the summer.

The exhibit is sponsored by Preservation Statesville, an NC not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and appreciation of Statesville's historic heritage and rich historic treasures. Exhibit space is made possible by the generosity of the staff and Board of Directors of the Downtown Statesville Development Corporation. Special thanks to Marin Tomlin, Executive Director, and Bob Dooley, Chairman.
